i've Just been diagnosed with gallstones, for the last 2 weeks i've been gettin menstrual type pains in my lower back and lower abdomen, l have had gallbladder symptoms for about 10-12 weeks, l usually get slight menstrual cramps just before im due for my period, then they go within 2 days of starting my period, but have had these cramps for about 2 weeks now all the time, can gallstones cause lower abdomen and lower back pains simular to menstrual pains as well as the normal pains in the upper abdomen and upper back?

might be a weird question about gallstones

Yes, gallstones can cause pain anywhere in your abdomen. It is not just the area around the gallbladder, although that is where pain is most common.
