what can make my menstrual pain go away when midol and advil and everything else just isnt working?!?!?!?

You need to talk to a GYN doctor about what kind of treatments there are now for premenstrual syndrome.
Go to this website for more information
http://womenshealth.gov/faq/premenstrual-syndrome.cfm
It gives some information about some things you can do to help yourself out, as well to five you information on what kind of treatments the doc can offer.

I was the same exact way!!

I went to the gynecologist and they thought it might be something called ''endometrisis.'' The first thing they tried was the pill and better stuff for the pain.

I URGE you to go see the gyno and see if you have the same thing I did. I feel so much better now!!

Good Luck!!

At your age, I suffered from severe menstrual cramps & such that I was put on birth control (Diane-35).. As the years went by, my pain decreased but on days were it got so bad, I was prescribed 'Anaprox'. See a gynecologist, they may have something else in mind better suited for you. All the best.

I used to have pain like that, too, so I really feel for you, hon. I never thought Midol helped, but Advil is usually more effective. How much r u taking? I know the over-the-counter dose on the package says to take two 200mg tablets. My doctor would tell me to take from 600 to 800 mg, which would be 3 or 4 tabs. That is a prescription-strength dose, so please consult a doctor before taking that much. I just know that it did help me when I increased the dosage. Do not take it any more than twice daily though, morning & evening. Also, it helps to go ahead & take ibuprofen (Advil) a couple of weeks before u normally start getting the pain & take it daily to help the lessen the pain before it starts. But only take 200-400 mg (1 or 2 pills) during this time. Another thing u can take is calcium. If u take a calcium supplement tablet every day, this helps with muscle relaxation & is known to help with menstrual cramps.

I know it is not practical to do this when u r at school, but when at home & resting, place a heating pad or warm towel over ur belly. That helps with the pain, too.

Try a heating pad, placed on your lower back, just above your hips. The main problem is you still wo not feel like doing much. I try to go to sleep for a couple hours.
