Conception could only have taken place within the last 16 days though. Is it too early to test? Why would the early bird test come back positive if it could not tell? My breasts feel tender and I've experienced slight cramping during the past 2 days but not as bad as menstrual pains. l have never had unprotected sex though which was why, when l went to the doctor 2 days ago, they said they did not think this was likely....but still no period and I am usually very regular.Please help - I am nervous!
Thank you for all your help and swift responses! l have a doctor is appointment booked for the morning and will ask them to do a blood test then. I am just confused as l did a test this morning with first urine and it was negative yet the 'early bird' one l took last night was positive. l also took a clear blue test less than half an hour after the early bird which was also negative. Does anyone know how long it takes to get results from the doctor and how accurate they are? Thanks again!

i think you are, get a first response early results and test with first morning urine.

It is most likely a cyst. They can delay af.

A positive is generally a positive. False positives are hard to come by. You could get a digital HPT or if you'd rather, get a blood test done at the hospital. Blood tests detect pregnancy sooner as well, so even if the hormone is barely strong enough for the HPT, a blood test can tell you for sure. Good luck and baby dust!

EPTs r more sensitive than normal HPTs. If the EPT was positive & u followed the instructions correctly then congratulations.

If u still have doubt, retest. HCG doubles every 2 days - so wait & retest. Be sure to read results within 5-10 min or u can get a ''false positive''

Buy a name brand EPT. I like First Response.
Check peeonastick.com for test sensitivity.

You can get positive results 2 days after implantation (est 10 dpo). It sounds like testing should be accurate at this point.

You can get pregnant even if u use a condom. Condoms break.maybe u came into contact w/ semen during foreplay or after intercourse..
