l am currently taking proxyvon pill for easing the menstrual pain during the 1st or 2nd day. My doc told me to use it as SOS. l just use 1 to ease the pain when l get cramps which happens on 1st or 2nd day (as l mentioned in my other question l asked before). l am able to have a fairly normal body condition in which l can resume my work.

l am thinking of starting multi vitamins intake as we lose blood during periods. Though l try to maintain a healthy diet, but still l might be lacking some essential vitamins in my diet. Will this help? Can someone suggest any good multi vitamin? l know of centrum so far.

Will starting multivitamins help in easing the menstrual pain

My mom has worked as a pharmacy tech for 30+ years and when I left for college she gave me a bottle of ''One a day Women is Multi-Vitamins''. I was skeptical, but I really do feel better overall when I take them.

No, u should not expect vitamins to ease menstrual pain. A vitamin made for women is a good idea- they have a little iron in them, to help build blood to replace what u lose monthly. Men do not need additional iron normally.

One a Day with Iron is one, & there r literally dozens of others. They do not have to be ''mega vitamins nor very expensive, to do what u need.
As for the pain, there r several over the counter preparations that r said to help. Midol has been around forever, & while I am the wrong gender to need it, I hear it is as good as anything else.

I am not sure that a multi vitamin can help with pain. Simply increasing fluids, fiber and decreasing salt will help and the move you move the less pain you will experience. If you have a balanced diet an additional multivitamin will not help. Your urine turns very bright due to the excess vitamins being excreted. Vitamins are not stored in your body and only the amount you need will be absorbed into your system. I would suggest not wasting your money if you eat healthy already.
