l posted a question about an orangy coloured mucus plug. l rang the labour ward and they told me to go in last night. well l went in and l was all checked over. the doctor looked worried lol and l asked him why. he said l was 2cm dilated and he could feel the babys head just behind the bag of waters.

i had been having contractions too with just a pain of menstrual cramp. they said they would keep me in unti the morning and check me over again until they can be sure l am not in preterm labour.

well they sent me home today an dsaid that l could go into labour anyday now.
and when l was picking my house keys up from my sisters l started having mentrual like pains again and contractions...........

my sister reckons l will go into proper labour tonight as she had the same one morning and then went into labour that night. l am still getting menstrual pains and contractions but l havent noticed any pattern.

what do you think?

the doctor said that if l go into labour they will not stop it because my baby is mature enough.

i cant stay on bedrest because l am a single mum of a 2 year old so it is not possible!

and no. noone can help me out

I think you will go into labor within the next 2 weeks. Try and take it easy until you reach 37 weeks, let the toddler play alone or watch movies when you can. Sit down while he runs around in a fenced yard, maybe set up a playdate with another mom and kid so they can occupy each other, try to sit quietly with him and look at books or do puzzles. Those are the ways I get a rest with my 2 year old. Let the housework go, just clean up the smelly stuff let the clutter pile up.

Unfortunately, it is going to be anyone is guess..good luck, though! I am the single parent of a 4 year old, and my next one is due in early June.

After you lose your mucus plug it could be a week or so before you go into labor. I was dialated to 2 for 4 weeks before my daughter was born but was not having reglar contractions. There is no way to know exactly when your baby will come just by labor symptoms because everyone is body labors differently
