I always have the same problem too. My doctor advice me to take Mortrin (orange label). Recently I found another way to ease menstrual pain, that is taking Yoga.
I do not know if it will work for you but after taking Yoga for 3 months, I hardly feel any pain when my period comes.

A prescription dose of Aleve (a.k.a Naproxen Sodium) is recommended.

Are you on the pill? The pill will usually help with this. If not, have you tried tylenol for women instead of just regular tylenol? If you are not on the pill, talk to your OBGYN about your pain and he/ she will prescribe you an appropriate form of birth control to help with the pain. If you do not have insurance, go to your local health department to receive birth control.

go to a doctor and obtain some birth control, thats what my friend did for her cramps, and hers were really severe.

3 advil every 3 hours and a heating pad works for me, good luck, i get horrible cramps too :(

I have the same problem. I have an ovarian cyst also. You might get checked to see if you have something going on. I get cramps that lay me up in bed and tylnol dosent work for me at all. I have tried Pamprin you can get it at walmart. It work pretty decent. If you cant find something that works talk to you doctor and he should give you something.

I have a treatment and there is no medication necessary. When you get cramps, it is the same as when you get a charlie horse. Your muscles are going into spasm and contracting. STRETCH. Get those arms up and stretch, even if it hurts at first, you will feel so much better after.

are you on Birth Control. I went to the Dr. office cuz i had really bad cramps and nothing would work. They said BC significantly reduces the cramps and it does! best solution for mine anyways

I've had severe menstrual cramps as well and the only thing I have found that works for me is Ibuprofen. My doc prescribed 800 mgs but you can use Motrin, which is bascially the same thing.

Ivy profen. I take it, and prescribed by my doctor. It wayy coooll. talk to ur doctor. and you will feel a lot lot lot better. :)
