how come the day l get my period l get the worst aching in my pelvic area/lower stomach. Its an unbearable pain that hurt so bad once l was going to go to the hospital, once l take ibruprophen it goes away but im wondering why so many girls get short sharp cramps and l get this?
its called cramps .. time for Dr Elizabeth is sex ed 101..the thing known as ur endometrium which is the lining of ur uterus is being ripped out of its current position and torn apart and decomposed and starts to come out of ur vagina.. this is what hurts
They're cramps. The intensity & longevity of cramps vary greatly from female to female. Mine used to be as bad as yours until I started taking birth control. Birth control regulates ur period, & controls pre-menstrual & menstrual symptoms significantly. Yaz is great for this purpose.
Maybe u should consider talking to ur doctor/gyno about starting birth control.
Until then, a pain medicine that is an anti-inflammatory (Ibuprofen, Midol, Motrin) should do the trick.
Exercise , stretching of the pelvic area, pelvic strengthening exercises, & heat also help with cramps.
it is soooo normal for that to happen..it happpened to me, and i couldnt move for like ..the whole day.when you start having your period normaly, it wont hurt as much
